Sales Manager

As the Sales Manager, you will oversee, mentor, and guide a group of Contract Surety Producers, with a primary focus on scaling our client portfolio and accelerating business growth. Your mandate includes steering sales strategy, fostering team growth, managing performance metrics, talent acquisition, and partnering across internal divisions to hit revenue targets and cultivate a top-tier sales culture. Core Duties Direct and supervise a group of 8-10 remote Contract Surety Producers. Provide guidance and training to sales staff regarding product expertise, market positioning, and effective sales methodologies. Oversee the full lifecycle of talent acquisition, including recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new sales staff. Track sales outcomes relative to projections and execute necessary adjustments to improve results. Spearhead business development initiatives to help the company consistently reach its revenue targets. Grow and solidify the organization's direct client relationships. Oversee the client onboarding process to guarantee a seamless and high-quality customer experience. Partner with internal departments like Underwriting, Marketing, and Support to enhance overall sales performance. Foster a high-energy, results-oriented environment that drives team success. Participate in regional field sales visits and travel as necessary to support business goals. Maintain oversight of sales pipelines, activity metrics, and overall team output. Encourage a culture of professional growth and personal accountability to ensure continuous team improvement. Required Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in a sales leadership capacity. Background in supervising B2B field sales teams. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor sales professionals. Experience implementing sales training programs and advanced selling techniques. Strong organizational, communication, and presentation capabilities. A track record of consistently hitting or surpassing established sales objectives. A proactive, entrepreneurial approach to developing new business opportunities. Familiarity with financial statements; a background in accounting is considered an asset. Prior experience in insurance sales is preferred, though not mandatory. A collaborative approach to working with diverse, cross-functional teams.
