Staff Accountant (Level 2)

Pay Rate: $20-$50/hourly, depending on experience
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge and a passion for accuracy in financial reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting critical business operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including recording financial. transactions and maintaining general ledgers in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable balances, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review costing of inventory transactions and credit checking status; update daily value of inventory-in-transit.
- Assist in maintaining Optec Equipment Items.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting, tax filing, and documentation preparation for audits.
- Assist with monthly cost closing and year end closing.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be required as necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Strong US GAAP concept
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties
- Proficient in excel (Vlookup and PivotTable) Microsoft Office skills; ERP accounting system and Sage X3 is a plus
