We are looking for a Contracts Administrator to support commercial contracting and trade administration activities for a Contract position in Houston, Texas. This role is suited to someone who can manage detailed transactional work, maintain contract records with precision, and coordinate closely with cross-functional teams in the Energy/Natural Resources sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong judgment, accuracy, and follow-through while helping improve processes and uphold compliance across the full contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
• Record refined product trade activity and subsequent revisions promptly and accurately within designated systems, including handling more involved transactions with limited oversight.
• Prepare, distribute, and monitor contract confirmations to ensure timely documentation of commercial agreements.
• Evaluate incoming third-party confirmations, identify inconsistencies, and resolve exceptions independently with appropriate stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain contract records and supporting data across multiple business platforms, ensuring information remains current and aligned.
• Oversee the contract repository by tracking milestones, renewal points, and other critical deadlines throughout each agreement.
• Coordinate the end-to-end contract process from internal routing through final execution while ensuring approvals follow authorized signatory requirements.
• Drive initiatives that strengthen operational performance through better workflows, automation opportunities, and improved documentation practices.
• Work across business groups and partner with Accounting during month-end activities, including compiling and validating close-related support.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to colleagues, assist with issue resolution, and support team coverage and cross-training as needed.
• Maintain adherence to organizational and regulatory standards while supporting integration efforts and consistent process execution across functions.• Experience in contract administration and contract lifecycle management within a commercial, trading, or energy-related environment.
• Working knowledge of contract terms, confirmations, pricing structures, and trade-related documentation.
• Ability to review agreements carefully, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues with a high degree of independence.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, key dates, and multiple priorities across interconnected systems.
• Proficiency using contract management, trade capture, or document repository platforms such as Entero, Agiloft, RightAngle, Filenet, or similar tools.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with accounting, commercial teams, and other business partners.
• Experience supporting process improvement efforts, operational efficiency initiatives, or automation-focused projects.
• Familiarity with contract negotiations, bid-related activities, and contract pricing concepts is preferred.
