Join us as a Registered Nurse in Acute Care where you'll be at the forefront of patient care! - Responsibilities: - Deliver exceptional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Assess patient needs and initiate personalized nursing care plans involving patients, families, and healthcare teams. - Administer medications and treatments, including fluid and respiratory therapies. - Master technical skills and utilize medical equipment in your assignments while upholding infection control standards. - Prioritize and organize patient care effectively, demonstrating sound judgment. - Monitor and interpret patient symptoms, reporting conditions to physicians and coordinating appropriate responses in emergencies. - Educate patients and families on disease management and care procedures, ensuring understanding and adherence to treatment plans. - Mentor new staff members and engage in continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. - Provide leadership and support to colleagues, fostering a positive work environment. - Guarantee safety and maintain confidentiality, ensuring a secure and respectful atmosphere for patients and staff. - Continuously improve nursing services with a focus on quality and efficiency. - Education/Experience/Licensure: - Current registered nurse license in the State of South Dakota. - Valid CPR certification. - Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS certifications within six months. - TNCC certification for solo Emergency Room coverage required within six months. - Shift Information: - Flexible 12-hour shifts including days, evenings, and nights. - Holiday coverage as required. - Minimum Years of Experience: - 1 year.
