Job Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7.5 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of OR nursing experience required License: Active Client RN License Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification Must-Have: Experience in ambulatory operating room nursing First assist in urology procedures Experience in scrubbing for urology surgeries Knowledge of infection prevention and control Understanding of radiation safety Capability in specimen collection, handling, and labeling Skill in performing peripheral IV insertion Familiarity with universal protocol procedures Experience in urinary bladder catheterization and wound management Documented experience with electronic medical records Description: Seeking a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule in an ambulatory surgery setting. The assignment involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. The average daily census is 14 patients, with an average of 14 cases per day. You will work in a unit with one operating room. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. Communication within the team follows the SBAR method. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Weekends are not required, and there are no rotating shifts. The role requires cardiac monitoring skills and adherence to infection control protocols. Candidates should have experience in circumcisions, cystoscopies, and vasectomies. Wound management and documentation skills are also expected. Epic experience is preferred but not mandatory.
