Fund Accounting Supervisor, Private Equity / Hedge Funds (HYBRID)

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is looking for a Fund Accounting Supervisor to join our Alternative Investment Funds team. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and administration for clients’ hedge and private equity funds. The supervisor will act as the intermediary between the funds and their investment managers, serve as the official record keeper, and train and supervise the accounting analysts. What you will do: Price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using external pricing resources. Perform timely reconciliations regarding Net Asset Values and provide accounting reports. Communicate transactions associated with the fund(s) and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages. Coordinate and support various year‑end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards. Perform due diligence to ensure clients comply with government laws and regulations. Train and supervise the accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures, and job responsibilities. Manage a team environment that encourages self‑motivation, organization, and drive to complete multiple client deliverables timely and with quality. Correspond with external investment managers regarding day‑to‑day fund inquiries, reconciliations, scheduled deliverables, and escalation concerns. Maintain client engagement and deliver quality service. Assist the manager with conducting performance appraisals, monthly one‑on‑ones, career pathing, training, staffing, and disciplinary actions. Participate in IMS and corporate professional development sessions to identify process improvements across the division and organization. Partner with a diverse team and advance your career. What we need from you: BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 2 years experience in the fund services industry; alternatives experience preferred. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel. Self‑motivation, organization, and drive to deliver multiple client deliverables on time without sacrificing quality. Strong written and verbal communication skills for supporting clients via email and phone. Strong customer service skills for daily communication with clients and service providers. The position also offers a discretionary annual bonus subject to company approval.
