Senior Accountant

TRC Talent Solutions is hiring a Senior Accountant for an established organization in Tucker, GA. This role will support general accounting operations with a focus on accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and the ability to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Location: Tucker, GA | Hybrid (34 days onsite)

Job Type: Long-Term Contract

Pay: $45$60/hour (DOE)

Schedule: MondayFriday | Flexible hours

What You'll Be Doing

• Support general accounting operations with a focus on accounts receivable and financial accuracy.

• Review AR aging reports and ensure payments and balances are accurately recorded and applied.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with month-end close activities and related accounting processes.

• Support inventory and fixed asset accounting functions as needed.

• Analyze financial records and identify opportunities to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.

• Collaborate with internal accounting team members to ensure timely completion of financial activities.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role.

• Strong general accounting background with hands-on experience in AR accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Experience supporting month-end close processes and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt quickly to established accounting processes.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.

• Experience in the utilities industry is a plus.

• Familiarity with Maximo, Power Plan, or fixed asset accounting is preferred.

• Exposure to AI tools, financial analytics, or process improvements is a plus.

• Ability to work onsite in Tucker, GA, at least 3 days per week, with initial onsite training required.
