Pharmacist - Acute Setting

The Pharmacist performs clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of drugs and IV supplies. The Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review and evaluate patient effectiveness and adverse effects. The pharmacist provides information and advice regarding drug interactions and potential side effects as well as analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current registration and/or license as a Pharmacist in state of practice required

• One (1) year of experience working as a licensed pharmacist preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Pharmacist for a night shift (NOC) assignment at a respected Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Carson City, NV.

This is a unique opportunity for an independent, highly skilled pharmacist who is confident working autonomously overnight while supporting a collaborative clinical team. This assignment is filling a retirement vacancy , with strong potential for extension.

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (extension likely)

• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Travel Package

• Gross Weekly Pay: $3,126

• Hourly: $47/hr

• Housing: $770/week

• Meals & Incidentals: $476/week

Local Package

• Hourly Rate: $72.50/hr

• Estimated Weekly: ~$2,900

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an acute care setting

• Perform and oversee medication dispensing and verification

• Execute and support sterile and non-sterile compounding

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

• Function independently as the sole pharmacist on NOC shift

? Requirements

• Active Nevada Pharmacist License - Required

• Minimum 2 years of acute care pharmacist experience

• Experience working independently (solo shift coverage)

• Strong compounding experience required

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
