Registered Nurse - Community Living Center (CLC)This is an open continuous announcement that will remain open until September 30th, 2026 or until all vacancies are filled. This aligns with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Mission Statement to Honor America's Veterans by providing exceptional health care that improves their health and well-being.Duties of the Registered Nurse - Community Living Center (CLC) include, but are not limited to:Provide competent, evidence-based nursing care to assigned CLC residents, overseeing LPNs and NAs as appropriate.Support nursing education, orientation, competency validation, and quality-improvement initiatives.Partner with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective care transitions.Apply biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technical proficiency in daily nursing practice.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate nursing care.Coordinate resident care with emphasis on education, self-management, and overall satisfaction.Administer medications and perform clinical procedures in accordance with established policies and guidelines.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to influence and improve care outcomes.Consult with MDS nurses to ensure accuracy of RUG scoring when needed.Utilize fundamental critical-thinking skills, seeking guidance appropriately to support high-quality patient care.Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awardsPaid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VAInsurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territoryWork Schedule: Rotating Day/Nights with holiday and weekend rotations.
