Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Duties of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating the delivery of skilled patient care.
• Providing comprehensive emergency care to stable and critically ill patients.
• Exercising excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to be a strong team member.
• Providing patient education.
• Using critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data.
• Operating specialized medical equipment such as defibrillator, LUCAS, electrocardiogram, oxygen flowmeter, IV pump, bladder scanner, etc.
• Initiating a patient's plan of care based on assessment and provider's orders.
• Having continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, patient care staff, and management.
• Having and maintaining current ACLS certification and be an active member of the facility code team.
• Utilizing correct personal protective equipment (PPE) when providing care for patients with suspected infectious diseases.

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
