Competition Analyst

Job Description: Proactively develop, deliver, and communicate competitive case design strategies Engage with sales team on application pipeline to optimize sales opportunities Monitor competitive illustration requests and recommend actions to drive sales Stay updated on competitor actions and provide commentary Provide in-person illustration and case design support Create material for “Competition Corners” and host calls with Distribution team Ensure competition is represented accurately during product development process Ongoing training & education with emphasis on case design expertise Requirements: 3-5 years’ experience in life and annuity Product, Competitive Services and/or Sales Excellent communication skills Proven success delivering effective life insurance and annuity product messages A deep understanding of the IMO life and annuity marketplace and product design and mechanics An understanding of John Hancock Life Insurance’s product mechanics and distribution strategy Life and annuity product & case design expertise High-level critical-thinking and problem-resolution skills Ability to interpret & understand any illustration, regardless of product line or carrier.
