Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Latrobe, PA | Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Anticipated Start: January 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care/Step-Down unit setting
• Manage a patient assignment at typical ratios of 4–5:1, with potential up to 6:1
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level cardiac and clinical monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float within the hospital and, if needed, to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as directed
• Complete all required pre-start modules prior to entering the facility and adhere to all onboarding compliance timelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or a Compact state (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Step-Down or comparable RN experience
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only) required at submission
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required at submission
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required at submission
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (based on driver's license address) to be eligible
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• Willingness to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
• Two supervisor references preferred at time of submission
