Charge experience required. Community hospital experience required. Charting system experience with Epic required. Comfortable floating within specialty and sister facilities as needed. Description: This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The role involves rotating night/evening shifts. The primary need is for night shift coverage. The nurse will care for patients of all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4, but may be up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients. Candidates will encounter diverse diagnoses, including complex cases. Every other weekend and holiday work is required as scheduled. On-call shifts are pre-scheduled and not mandatory. Floating to other emergency department facilities may be required. Completion of compliance documents is necessary within deadlines. Successful candidates will have experience with emergency medications and managing acute conditions. Nurses should possess skills in various clinical situations, including abdominal pain, respiratory issues, and mental health emergencies. Additional responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, and administering procedural sedation. This is a fast-paced emergency setting requiring quick decision-making and adaptability. All candidates must maintain the required certifications throughout the contract duration.
