Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Readiness in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government services location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity.

- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and partner agencies by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entry points, common spaces, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors as appropriate, and support compliance with visitor management and site entry procedures.
- Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
