The Procurement Coordinator serves as the primary Procurement liaison for the Cherokee facility, coordinating the purchasing and timely delivery of materials, equipment, spare parts, and services required to support safe and reliable manufacturing operations.Primary Responsibilities IncludeProvide first-level support for Procurement requests/issues at the siteCoordinate purchasing requirements with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Warehouse teamsSolicit multiple supplier quotations and evaluate pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery terms to secure the best overall value to meet the requested specifications/scope and timelinePrepare and process Purchase Orders in accordance with approved requisitions and corporate guidelinesTrack Purchase Orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery while communicating updates to plant personnelManage life cycle of Purchase Orders to include resolving receiving discrepancies & returns, partnering with Accounts Payable to clear blocked invoices, and collaborating with Accounting & Manufacturing Operations to close eligible Purchase OrdersProvides procurement support of scheduled maintenance activities, capital projects, turnarounds as well as unplanned outages which may require prompt response to expedite requestsMaintain accurate records of Purchase Orders, supplier information, and related documentationSupport supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance management activitiesEnsure all procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirementsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities3-5 years of experience in a procurement role (preferably in a chemical plant, refinery or similar industry)Working knowledge of ERP Procurement module (JDE preferred) and supporting business processesProficient in Excel and Microsoft Office productsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skillsHighly organized, with focus on process and time management disciplineAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong initiative and positive attitudeExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsLSB Chemical L.L.C. is an equal opportunity employer.
