Direct Client Requirement: System Administrator LINUX on w2 contract Location: SYRACUSE, New York Duration: 6 Months Job Description We are seeking a System Administrator with expertise in Linux environments to work on a 6‑month contract. Qualifications At least 5 to 7 years of experience in system administration. Strong knowledge of Linux Operating Systems, Red Hat Linux, and Linux Security. Experience with Solaris Containers/Zones and Solaris Operating Systems. Experience in Sun/Solaris domains and Windows/Wintel environments. Bachelor's degree required. Main Responsibilities Provide support for moderately complex technical and team management activities related to system/database administration. Perform systems/database administration, monitor and tune systems to ensure optimum performance. Oversee software installations, upgrades, and related software packages. Collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes and develop capacity plans for enterprise‑wide systems. Coordinate with management to implement changes, support design and configuration of complex system landscapes. Support complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations. Plan, coordinate and direct appropriate data refresh strategies. Recommend and implement database solutions/enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Apply support packages/patches to maintain system integrity. #J-18808-Ljbffr Deegit Inc
