Location: 2060 Upton Dr. Virginia Beach, VA (On-Site) Reports to: Hospice House Administrator FLSA: Hourly (Non-exempt) Schedule: Full-Time; Day and Night Shift available (three 12 hour shifts with rotating weekends).

The Dozoretz Hospice House of Hampton Roads is a nonprofit organization that provides compassionate respite and end-of-life care for those on hospice services in a peaceful and homelike environment. We offer expert care and emotional support for patients and their families during one of life's most challenging times. Featuring twelve private suites and peaceful shared spaces, our dedicated hospice house offers a comforting environment where families can cherish meaningful moments together. Guided by our mission, we honor each person's dignity and individuality while providing care of the highest quality.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to patients during their end-of-life journey.

What You'll Do In This Role

• Assist patients with daily activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Monitor and record vital signs as part of the care plan.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to the healthcare team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility (up to 100 lbs with assistance)

The Experience You'll Bring

Required

• Current CNA license in the State of Virginia (unencumbered)
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)
• Willingness to complete a food sanitation course after hire
• Flu-Vaccinated

Preferred

• Hands -on clinical experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Range: $18.17- $20.00/hour (based on relevant experience)
