Director of Finance

Role Summary Business Unit Finance Leader for the Respiratory Health and Cardiology divisions of Baxter International. Full P&L responsibility for two high‑growth divisions with revenues exceeding $400M and annual growth of 10%+ in $2B+ TAMs. Strategic business partner and advisor for Divisional Business Leaders. Directs financial planning and analysis activities to drive improved business results, including third‑party reimbursement, planning/forecasting, ROI and NPD financial modeling, and reporting. Responsibilities Lead financial planning, forecasting, long‑range planning, and monthly operations reviews for Respiratory Health and Cardiology divisions. Manage and develop a team of finance managers, focusing on succession planning. Serve as Finance workstream lead for M&A activity, developing acquisition models and conducting due diligence. Build and analyze third‑party reimbursement models to maximize average selling price and billing yield. Partner with portfolio optimization, new product development and acquisition initiatives to provide financial analysis and modeling. Oversee the controllership function for the Cardiology division, including month‑end close, financial controls, ERP management, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, tax compliance, and treasury. Drive compliance with GAAP, SEC requirements, and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures. Establish policies for third‑party reimbursement areas such as patient financial assistance, receivable write‑offs, and asset transfers. Approve treasury operations such as wires, ACH, and check payments. Provide forecasts for the S&OP process to support inventory planning. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on deal structure, contract and pricing decisions. Lead implementation project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation initiatives. Mentor and coach finance staff and cross‑functional teams. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (country equivalent). MBA, CPA or CMA preferred. 15+ years of finance experience, with significant experience in healthcare. Full P&L ownership and strategic finance leadership in a high‑growth environment. Advanced knowledge of third‑party reimbursement and complex business models. Strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication, collaboration and presentation skills. Proficiency in GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting, and acquisition accounting (preferred). Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and manage multiple competing priorities. Compensation Estimated base salary $176,000 – $242,000 annually. Position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission and/or long‑term incentive. Additional compensation details are discretionary and based on market data, location and experience.
