Job Description
We are looking for a Staff Accountant in Middlesex County, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for balance sheets, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and more. If you are looking to grow your career, this might be the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries in accordance with accounting policies.
• Prepare, analyze, and record monthly accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing reports and verifying account balances.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or at least 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant is required.
• Hands-on experience with general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, including formulas and advanced functions.
• Ability to organize supporting documentation, maintain accuracy, and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
