Hepatology Access & Reimbursement Manager - Houston/Dallas, TX

Hepatology Access & Reimbursement Manager (H-ARM) Individuals successful in this role possess a strong passion for patient access and thrive in a highly complex environment. The ability to problem‑solve and collaborate effectively is a critical skill set for GSK ARMs. This role requires exemplary customer engagement skills, a penchant for business ownership, and the ability to understand nuanced reimbursement and access technical skills. It supports GSK’s emerging hepatology portfolio. Key Responsibilities Supports access to GSK Hepatology products for appropriate patients. Educates providers on payer coverage, coding, and payment policies related to GSK specialty products and helps providers understand GSK Patient Support Programs for patient access. Interfaces internally with Payer Account Managers, Hepatology Specialty Pharmacy Account Directors, and Hepatology Sales professional teams. Analyses access/reimbursement issues and opportunities related to GSK’s hepatology portfolio. Provides product access/reimbursement expertise to offices and field teams. Coordinates access/reimbursement issues with third parties including hubs. Supports patient access by providing subject‑matter expertise on reimbursement barriers. Reports to a Director of Hepatology Field Reimbursement. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Ability to travel up to 60%, including overnights. Must live within the territory. Valid driver’s license. 3+ years of experience in Field Reimbursement, Specialty/Biologics Field Sales, Payer Marketing, or Patient Support Programs. Preferred Qualifications MBA, MPH, or other advanced degree. For larger geographies, candidate should live within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport. 6+ years of experience in Field Reimbursement, Specialty/Biologics Field Sales, Payer Marketing, or Patient Support Programs. Experience in Hepatology or Gastroenterology with an understanding of the diagnostic journey. Experience working with Centers of Excellence and/or complex healthcare systems. Experience supporting product launches in rare disease or highly specialized therapies with complex patient access and treatment journeys. Demonstrated cultural fluency to engage with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of payer environment, including state, federal, and private third‑party reimbursement methodologies and policies for HCP‑administered and self‑administered drugs. Customer‑focus experience with relationship building, issue identification, resolution, problem‑solving, and project management skills. Ability to operate independently, handle multiple projects, and lead in a matrix environment without direct reports. Organized, strategic thinker with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Knowledge of provider office and hospital outpatient reimbursement environments, regulations, customers, and account‑based planning. Knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy access process. Comprehensive understanding of commercial, Medicare Parts A, B, C, D, and state Medicaid reimbursement dynamics. Understanding of HCPCS, CPT, and ICD‑10 coding regulations.
