About This Role

The Assistant Director plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and quality of education for all children in the center's care, working closely with the Center Director to achieve this goal. In this capacity, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to deliver curriculum and classroom activities effectively, meeting the needs of students and the objectives of the center.

What You'll Do

• Step in for Center Director and Teachers when they're unavailable.
• Partner with staff to uphold quality standards as defined by the center, state, and local regulations, and implement improvements as needed.
• Maintain relationships with families and the community through targeted outreach efforts.
• Adhere to all center policies and state laws.
• Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to drive continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Must have 3 – 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
• High energy levels are essential.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A thorough understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in Infant/child CPR and First Aid is required.
• A clean background check and successful health screening are mandatory.
