Utilizing the tremendous potential of broadcast media to fulfill the mission, LIFE Outreach inspires believers to share the promise of life and hope with others.-Position SummaryThe Director of Donor Development is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and prospective ministry partners in support of Life Outreach International’s mission. This position develops meaningful relationships with individuals, families, foundations, and other supporters to strengthen engagement and increase financial support for ministry initiatives.This position implements strategies that strengthen donor relationships, enhance the donor experience, and expand opportunities for major donor engagement and support to advance the mission and impact of Life Outreach International.-Primary ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership· Lead, mentor, and develop the Ministry Representatives, fostering a collaborative, Christ-centered, and mission-focused team.· Provide coaching, guidance, training, and accountability to help team members achieve fundraising goals and professional growth.· Establish performance expectations and evaluate individual and team effectiveness.Fundraising Strategy· Develop and implement comprehensive short- and long-term donor development strategies aligned with the ministry’s mission and strategic priorities.· Develop annual donor development goals, budgets, and strategic priorities in collaboration with executive leadership.· Lead the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and donor engagement efforts.· Evaluate fundraising performance and recommend strategies to strengthen donor relationships and increase ministry support.Major Donor Development· Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and prospective ministry partners.· Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with major donors, individuals, families, foundations, and other key supporters through regular personal engagement.· Manage a portfolio of major donors and implement individualized cultivation and stewardship plans.· Oversee major gifts, annual giving initiatives, and special fundraising events.· Partner with executive leadership in cultivating high-capacity donors and strategic ministry partners.Donor Engagement & Stewardship· Strengthen relationships with existing ministry partners through intentional communication and engagement.· Coordinate donor visits, ministry experiences, appreciation events, and stewardship activities.· Ensure timely acknowledgment, follow-up, and stewardship of donor gifts.· Collaborate with Communications to provide meaningful donor impact reports, ministry updates, and personalized donor communications.Data Management & Reporting· Analyze fundraising performance, donor trends, and giving patterns to identify opportunities for growth.· Maintain accurate donor records and engagement history within the ministry’s donor management system.· Prepare reports, forecasts, and recommendations for executive leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making.· Monitor fundraising goals and donor portfolio performance to ensure progress toward ministry objectives.Collaboration· Foster collaboration across departments to ensure a consistent and exceptional donor experience.· Support organizational initiatives that strengthen donor confidence and advance the ministry’s long-term sustainability.Ministry Representation· Represent Life Outreach International with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the ministry’s mission.· Serve as an ambassador for the ministry while building relationships with donors, churches, foundations, corporations, and ministry partners.· Travel as needed for donor visits, ministry events, conferences, and related activities.· Maintain a thorough understanding of ministry programs and initiatives to effectively communicate the impact of donor support.QualificationsEducation & Experience· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.· Minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, donor development, major gifts, relationship management, or a related field.· Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and securing major charitable gifts, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.· Experience working with nonprofit or faith-based organizations is preferred.· Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential is a plus.Knowledge & Skills· Strong leadership and team development abilities.· Strategic planning and fundraising expertise.· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.· Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with major donors, ministry partners, and diverse stakeholders.· Public speaking and presentation skills.· Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.· Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, and fundraising reporting tools.· Knowledge of digital fundraising strategies and online giving platforms.· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.· Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate the highest level of integrity.· Commitment to the mission, values, and statement of faith of Life Outreach International.-Physical Requirements· Ability to travel periodically for donor visits, ministry events, conferences, and related activities.· Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend meetings and events as needed.· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
