OR Nurse

Schedule: 10H Rotating shifts, typically three-day shifts plus one off shift. Off shift options are from 0845-1915, 1045-2115, or 1245-2315. Call includes one weekday call per week plus one 24-hour call in each four-week schedule block. Schedule flexibility is required to meet the needs of the unit and patient care.

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 16 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• Prior travel experience required
• Must have 2 years of OR experience
• Must have large (500+ beds) trauma level 1 experience
• EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is required
• Strong experience in General OR, ortho, URO, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, trauma
• Circulate and scrub skills checklists must be submitted
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective nursing care in the Operating Room
• Assist with surgical procedures as a scrub and circulating nurse
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Respond to emergency situations swiftly and efficiently

Compliance / Notes: Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day. Public transportation is not accessible in this area; reliable transportation is required. Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November through April.
