Electrical Engineer 2 / Transmission Planning

Join AZAD as an Electrical Engineer and work within the Transmission Infrastructure Development. This position will provide professional engineering expertise in assisting project managers and other engineering personnel in developing projects and other related engineering activities. This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid in Vancouver, WA with onsite 3 days weekly. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $51.63 - $54.93 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package. The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited college/university in electrical engineering or closely related engineering field is required. 5+ years electrical engineering experience is required. Experience should include knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system. Valid U.S. Driver's License is required. Preferred: Knowledge and understanding of performance characteristics of power transmission equipment and correct representation of power system networks for analyzing transmission system performance and creating project requirements diagrams (PRDs), including transformers, transmission lines, switches, power circuit breakers, reactive support devices, generators, communications and relaying equipment AZAD is looking for bright, talented, flexible, and customer centric problem solvers who enjoy the challenges associated with solving the most complex problems by utilizing the most sophisticated technologies and strong people skills.
