Our exceptional quality is driven by a deep investment in and the daily practice of continually improving our people, processes, and products.Responsibilities:Performs set-ups and operates CNC machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy.Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.Assists new and less experienced operators as requested.Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent0-2 years CNC machinist experienceAbility to understand and follow instructions in English.Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.Basic mechanical ability.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with CNC machines and controlsExperience operating in a cellular manufacturing environmentPrior experience using precision measuring instrumentsExposure to aerospace or tight-tolerance manufacturing environmentsWorking Conditions:Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floorOccasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
