Job Description Purpose of the Position Under direct supervision, recruit qualified candidates for the college’s academic programs in a compliant, appropriate, and professional manner. Provide basic information, routine guidance, and assistance to potential students on matters related to enrollment and the admissions process. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, ensuring appropriate action is taken to satisfy the student, Unitek College, and/or relevant regulatory agencies. Uphold enrollment standards by complying with related governmental regulations and accreditation standards, enrolling only students who meet eligibility requirements as published in the college’s catalog. Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, excellent time‑management, and the work ethic to follow through on commitments. Use company‑approved admissions materials during telephone calls, interviews, and the enrollment process. Observe and adhere to all company policies and best practices. Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate course of action. All activities are monitored to ensure consistency with company standards. Job Responsibilities The expectation is that the majority of an admissions representative’s time will be spent directly interacting with prospects/students either in person or on the phone. The representative must also meet all minimum performance‑management standards. Prospect/Student Interaction (90%) Take inquiry calls from all potential students interested in programs, provide information on entrance requirements, curricula, and academic standards, and encourage qualified prospects to schedule interview appointments. Return web inquiries and calls promptly, giving accurate information about programs. Make outbound calls to interested prospects; outbound calling is a key component of this role. Participate in organized phone‑a‑thons and dialing campaigns according to company best practices. Initiate unsolicited leads and generate new business when not responding to outstanding inquiries or current prospective students. Follow up on all inquiries that fail to schedule or show for an interview. Follow up with interviews that did not progress in the enrollment process and with dropped/cancelled students to resolve issues or concerns. Interviews Schedule and conduct student interviews, ensuring compliance with the stated company policies. Use only approved company materials during interviews. Meet with potential students to explain the program offerings and match the college’s benefits to the students’ needs, discussing suitable programs in accordance with their desires, qualifications, and objectives. Make all efforts to ensure admissions management is well informed about the student’s motivations and concerns. Mentoring and Guidance (5%) Provide basic information and routine advice on program availability and eligibility requirements. Serve as a liaison between students and campus, assist with enrollment forms, and review applications for compliance, partnering with Finance to ensure high‑level customer service and complete financial aid packaging. Mentors and advises students to help them identify unique skills and interests. Address easily‑resolved inquiries, questions, or concerns; refer more difficult issues to a more experienced staff member; ensure appropriate action is taken in compliance with policy, procedures, and legal requirements. Administrative (5%) Accurately account for all inquiries and the associated admissions activity. Complete daily activity reports. Ensure that all pre‑start paperwork is completed accurately and promptly. Maintain all required reports current and accurate within the system. Attend and complete all training for this position as required. Attend meetings directed by supervisors. Key Behaviors: Dependability: responds to requests for service and assistance. Regular, in‑person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus is essential. This role requires on‑site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff. Perform other duties as assigned by local leaders. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of customer service, telemarketing, or sales experience. Demonstrated ability to fulfill company key behaviors. Excellent presentation skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job on a weekly basis.
