The Traveling PRN Phlebotomist plays a vital role in supporting multiple clinics and hospitals within a local travel radius. This position requires independent work while coordinating closely with nursing staff to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection. The role demands strong patient interaction skills, meticulous documentation, and proper sample labeling to maintain compliance and quality standards in diverse healthcare settings.

 

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients with professionalism and accuracy
• Engage with patients to provide comfort and clear explanations during specimen collection
• Document specimen details and patient information precisely
• Label samples correctly to ensure chain of custody and prevent errors
• Coordinate daily activities independently, collaborating effectively with nursing staff
• Travel locally to support various clinic and hospital locations as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in phlebotomy
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified phlebotomist with proven venipuncture skills
• Expertise in specimen handling and labeling procedures
• Strong time management and adaptability in dynamic environments
• Thorough documentation skills to maintain accurate records
