Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

The Department of Motor Vehicles Legal Affairs Division is the legal counsel for the Director and the Department. The division is experiencing growth and new challenges in the constantly changing environments of legislation, regulations, administrative and general law. We seek a candidate who is energetic, and mission driven to assist our team into the future. The incumbent must have strong analytical, effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. This position requires the ability to complete multiple assignments effectively and with minimal supervision as an individual and within a collaborative team environment. Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.

Works in an office setting, in a cubicle with artificial lighting and temperature control. Primarily sedentary for extended periods of time; to operate a computer terminal; participate at meetings. Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers over the telephone, in person, mail, or via e-mail.
