Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – PCU (IMCU) travel assignment in Utica, NY. Start date: 12/07/2026. 13-week contract with guaranteed 48 hours per week. Night shift on a 2x4 schedule (12-hour shifts) in a hospital setting. This assignment requires EPIC EMR experience, float during shifts, and work within a 64-bed unit with 15 designated neuro beds.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care for adult IMCU/PCU patients, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op cases; support multiple complex diagnoses.
- Monitor patient status, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and therapies, respond to changes in condition, and document in the EPIC EMR.
- Manage devices and therapies as needed, including chronic ventilation support with RT assistance, temp pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines (A-lines), and BiPAP as required.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to coordinate care, plan discharges, and provide patient/family education.
- Float to other units as assigned, maintain unit standards, ensure safety and infection control, and participate in shift huddles and routine patient rounds.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license with NURSYS verification; ALL RN licenses must be active; RTO must be included at submission
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to work nights and float to related units as needed
- Up-to-date resume including 2+ years of IMCU/PCU travel experience
