Medical Staff Coordinator

Role Description The Medical Staff Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX, responsible for supporting medical staff operations and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating credentialing and re-credentialing processes for medical staff and allied health professionals, verifying licenses, certifications, education, and work history, and maintaining accurate and confidential provider files. The role manages medical staff applications, tracks expirations, and prepares documentation for medical staff committees, department meetings, and accreditation surveys. The Medical Staff Coordinator collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice professionals, hospital leadership, and administrative departments to support medical staff governance, bylaws, and policies. Additional duties include preparing correspondence, generating reports, updating databases, and providing administrative support to ensure timely and efficient medical staff operations. Qualifications Strong expertise in Medical Staff Credentialing and general Credentialing processes, including primary source verification and ongoing monitoring. Proficiency in Medical Terminology and familiarity with hospital policies, medical staff bylaws, and clinical documentation standards. Knowledge of Accreditation requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory bodies) and experience supporting survey readiness. Administrative Assistance skills, including scheduling, correspondence, record management, and proficiency with MS Office and credentialing software. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and non‑clinical teams. Prior experience in a hospital medical staff office or healthcare credentialing environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor's degree in a related field and/or certification in medical staff services (e.g., CPCS, CPMSM) is highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
