GIS Application Developer

Stellar Professionals

We are looking for a skilled GIS Analyst to support, develop, and streamline complex web, desktop, and mobile spatial applications. You will collaborate closely with development teams and project managers, manage spatial databases, build user interfaces, and ensure high-quality software delivery adhering to state IT and ADA standards.

Location: Lansing, MI (Local candidates within 90 miles only)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Required on-site every Wednesday & Thursday)

Interview Process: In-Person (1 2 rounds)

Key Qualifications & Skills Required

Core GIS Expertise (4+ Years)

Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) , Portal , Experience Builder , and Dashboards
Creating basemaps, tile caches, and performing imagery analysis
Developing custom user interfaces, menus, and macro-level commands for spatial analyses

Database & Development (2 4 Years)

SQL & Spatial Databases (4+ Yrs): Advanced SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, data validation, and metadata management
App Development (2+ Yrs): C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, T-SQL, and Microsoft Power Apps

Testing & Compliance

Software Testing (4+ Yrs): Unit, system, regression, and automated testing
ADA Compliance (1+ Yr): Knowledge of digital accessibility standards

Education & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (College Transcript required upon submission)
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)

1+ year of experience with Angular
1+ year of experience with Git , Azure DevOps (ADO) , MS Office, or Helix
