Project Specialist

Project Specialist Utilities $31.25/hr - $38.46/hr Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Columbus, Ohio (onsite at first; then hybrid) - Westerville area Temp to Hire What You’ll Do: Assist the team in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Support the preparation and analysis of actual and projected Revenue Requirements. Partner with Accounting to oversee Oracle project setup, establish new vendor accounts, generate budget-to-actual reporting, and support other business-related financial activities. Create and manage purchase requisitions while reviewing, tracking, and analyzing invoices related to operational and project expenses. Compile, organize, and maintain critical documentation, including requests for proposals (RFPs), contracts, agreements, and contract amendments. Support contract administration and procurement activities, including developing scopes of work, preparing RFPs and bid packages, and assisting with bid evaluations and vendor selection processes. Prepare reports, presentations, and business updates for leadership, the Board, and other stakeholders as requested. Provide administrative, financial, and project support to ensure the successful execution of initiatives. What We’re Looking For: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, along with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience; equivalent combinations of education and 5–7 years of related experience will also be considered. Experience with Oracle, ERP preferred. Relevant experience includes administrative, financial, budgeting, or project support responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while building positive working relationships across departments. Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Proven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize competing responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a professional demeanor and strong commitment to customer service and teamwork. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create spreadsheets, reports, and presentations. Knowledge of workflow management and business process improvement principles is preferred. Familiarity with project management software and related tools is a plus.
