Tax Accountant – CPA Firm Location: Southbury, CT Salary: $60,000-$85,000 + Incentive Pay Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite | 9:00 AM-5:30 PM Why This Tax Accountant Position? Join an established CPA firm with long-term stability Position is open due to a retirement Great opportunity for someone earlier in their tax career who wants to continue developing Firm is willing to train and develop someone with the right tax foundation Exposure to both individual and business tax returns Year-round accounting experience beyond tax season 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, and incentive opportunities Significant compensation flexibility for an experienced CPA or EA Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant Prepare individual and business tax returns, including 1040s, Schedule C/E, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Corporate returns Assist with tax extensions and other tax compliance work Support year-round bookkeeping and general ledger review Assist with payroll-related accounting and entity setup Work directly with clients and other members of the firm Handle additional tax and accounting projects throughout the year Preferred Qualifications For The Tax Accountant Bachelor’s degree Some tax experience within a CPA firm/public accounting environment Fluency in Albanian is a plus Interest in continuing to develop a career in tax CPA track is a plus Drake Tax and QuickBooks experience are a plus More experienced CPA/EA candidates are also encouraged to apply.
