Position Overview

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide healthcare support to students in a school-based setting for the 2026–2027 school year .

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' health, safety, and overall well-being while working in a collaborative educational environment. The LVN will provide direct nursing services, support students with medical needs, administer treatments and medications as prescribed, and collaborate with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers to ensure students can safely participate in their educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and health services to students in accordance with physician orders and district guidelines

• Administer medications, treatments, and specialized healthcare procedures as prescribed

• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions and other healthcare needs

• Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and health-related emergencies

• Maintain accurate health records, medication logs, and documentation

• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers regarding student health plans

• Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and other student healthcare plans as applicable

• Promote a safe and healthy school environment

• Follow all district, state, federal, and Amergis policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Vocational Nursing program

• Current California LVN license in good standing

• Current CPR certification

• One year of professional nursing experience preferred

• Current TB clearance (PPD or Chest X-Ray, if applicable)

• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state requirements)

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

• Must meet all district, state, and federal employment requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous school-based nursing experience

• Experience working with pediatric or adolescent populations

• Knowledge of medication administration and student healthcare plans

• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams

• Experience supporting students with specialized healthcare needs
