About the Position

Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid state license required; pending license accepted Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience in outpatient OR, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, and podiatry Description: This position is for an Operating Room Nurse in an outpatient setting. The candidate is expected to work primarily during day shifts. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in an operating room environment. Weekend and holiday availability is required. A valid state nursing license is mandatory, and a pending license will also be accepted. The candidate should be familiar with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to: - Ankle fusion - ACL reconstruction - Appendectomy - Arthroscopy - Cholecystectomy - Hernia repair - Tonsillectomy The candidate should also be experienced in using Epic charting system. Candidates may be required to float between facilities as needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential. Adherence to infection control and safety protocols is critical. Completion of necessary modules and training will be required.
