The role is primarily for first-time travelers. Flexibility in scheduling may be required, with some variable shifts. Staffing ratios and weekend requirements will be determined by the facility. Experience with patient care, charting systems, and specific surgical skills is essential. Candidates should be prepared to float between facilities if necessary. Travelers may need to work during two of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year. The job involves a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, urology, and general surgery. Attention to infection control, specimen handling, and adherence to safety protocols is critical. Complete participation in pre-start training modules is required. References from recent employment are necessary during the compliance process.
