Project Accountant

A growing company is seeking a Project Accountant to support the financial management of multiple projects, including invoicing, budget tracking, and job cost reporting. This role works closely with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on budget and financial processes run smoothly in a fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities

• Track project budgets, billings, and receivables alongside Project Managers
• Perform job cost analysis, variance reporting, and manage change orders
• Oversee subcontractor compliance, insurance documentation, and project closeouts
• Ensure accurate invoicing, payments, and resolution of discrepancies
• Maintain organized phase codes and project reporting structures
• Assist with financial reviews and monthly close processes
• Utilize Viewpoint and Microsoft Office for project accounting activities
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve financial issues

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
• Experience in project accounting within construction or manufacturing environments is a plus
• Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• Experience with Viewpoint or similar ERP systems preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $70,000-$80,000 , depending on experience
