Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: York, PA Type: Direct Hire Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting operations related to OEM manufacturing activities, including accurate financial transaction processing, maintaining accounting records, and assisting with month-end close, inventory accounting, and project-based revenue tracking.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and standard recurring entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, collections follow-up, and cash applications.
• Support accounting for customer-specific equipment builds and engineered-to-order projects, tracking costs, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition.
• Assist in inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventory adjustments, standard cost updates, and reconcile inventory subledger to general ledger.
• Prepare supporting schedules for internal financial reporting packages and assist in variance analysis for manufacturing costs and project margins.
• Support audit requests and ensure adherence to policies, GAAP standards, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor, Oracle, Infor Visual 9) required; Infor Visual 9 ERP highly desired.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, job costing, project accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost structures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills across finance and operations teams.
• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, with occasional site visits and safety awareness.
