Welder - 1st Shift

Welding PositionAssist in the timely production of all welded parts and ensure welds being completed are within acceptable quality standards.Essential Functions:Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.Exercise safe working habits while operating machines, including proper use of personal protective equipment.Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safety culture, participating in safety training sessions, and promptly reporting any safety concerns.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and TrainingHigh School Diploma/GED required.Prior welding experience, required.Minimum QualificationsAbility to pass welding certification test.Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.Must follow all safety practices and policies.Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.Must be able to physically lift 65 lbs.Physical DemandsConstant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp.Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs.Environmental ConditionsNon-temperature controlled manufacturing facility.Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection.Behavioral TraitsProduction - Adopting a strong orientation toward achievement, holding high expectations for yourself and others, pushing yourself and others to achieve at high levelsCooperation - Accommodating the needs and interests of others by being willing to defer performance on your own objectives to assist colleagues with theirsConsensual - Valuing the ideas and opinions of others and collecting their input as part of your decision-making process.Listening - Understands and learns from what others say.Attention to Detail - Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasksTeamwork - Promotes cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables.Safety Focus - Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.This is not a comprehensive list of duties.
