Dispensary Pharmacist

This Manager-level Dispensary Pharmacist role is a rare leadership opportunity to shape clinical standards, compliance, and patient care at a licensed retail dispensary within our partner network. You will serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge/Assistant Manager, lead a small clinical team, develop and maintain SOPs, ensure regulatory compliance, deliver high-quality patient consultations, and partner with retail leadership to create safe, informed, and welcoming customer journeys. Salary

$60 - $63 USD per hour

Required Skills

- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice (PharmD or equivalent) and any required state cannabis registrations.
- Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role (retail, clinical, or dispensary preferred).
- Demonstrated experience serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge or performing PIC-level responsibilities (or readiness to assume PIC duties).
- Strong clinical knowledge of cannabis pharmacology, dosing principles, and potential drugdrug interactions.
- Proven ability to perform patient consultations, clinical assessments, and document counseling per regulatory requirements.
- Thorough understanding of state cannabis regulations, recordkeeping, and chain-of-custody requirements.
- Hands-on experience with seed-to-sale systems (e.g., METRC) and dispensary POS/inventory platforms.
- Strong leadership skills: hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management of pharmacy/dispensary staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with regulators, clinicians, and vendors.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and disciplined approach to compliance and documentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and pass required background checks.

Desired Skills

- Previous experience as a dispensary pharmacist or in a cannabis pharmacy setting.
- Experience developing SOPs, training curricula, and clinical protocols for dispensary teams.
- Familiarity with product selection, vendor qualification, lab testing standards, and QA/QC processes.
- Prior involvement with community outreach, patient education programs, or clinician partnerships.
- Experience with multiple seed-to-sale and retail platforms (Flowhub, Dutchie, Blaze, etc.).
- Bilingual skills to support diverse patient populations.
- Comfort working in a small, growth-minded organization and contributing beyond strict role boundaries.
- Continuing education, certifications, or coursework in cannabis therapeutics or related clinical areas.
