Contracts Consultant

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Contracts Consultant to provide advanced support for planning, implementing and maintenance of quality assurance/control programs for the Substation Division (SSD). This position is a hybrid position based in Warrendale, PA. What You'll Do: Provide contractual terms and conditions review support for the division, for sales orders, sales and purchasing contracts. Perform risk analysis and propose suggestions to keep contracts within the Company Limits of Authority policy. Work with Corporate Contracts Manager and in-house legal counsel as required. Participate in direct negotiations with customers and suppliers when requested. Upon request, review Red Books, requisitions, and purchase orders on behalf of the General Manager. When required, provide contractual terms and conditions training, for both sales and purchasing contracts. Provide contractual terms and conditions review support for Sales Representative Agreements. Support and make recommendations to improve company policies and procedures. Further the goals and positive, professional image of the company through effective dealings with customers and other internal departments and divisions What You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years' experience working with commercial contracts for international equipment and services sales or equivalent education and experience. Advanced knowledge of contract language and techniques for developing and interpreting contracts. Advanced consulting and negotiating skills for negotiating commercial terms and conditions with customers and suppliers. Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors. Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously. Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office products and experience with ERP and/or CRM systems What's in It for You: MEPPI pays up to 90% of the cost for medical, dental, and vision plans.
