Join us!/ph3Purpose of Job/h3pThe Warehouse Team Member II provides a well-stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Service Managers. Must be able to deliver batteries on a regular basis./ph3Job Components/h3ulliLoad and unload batteries/liliRestock batteries/liliCharge, clean, date and rewrap rotations/liliCharge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries/liliMaintain a safe and clean warehouse environment/liliAccurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims/liliOperate a forklift and motor vehicle/liliRun the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed/liliFill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed/liliCollect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders/liliCollect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse/liliFollow/fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager/liliOther duties as requested/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliMinimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred./liliWritten, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills/liliStrong time management skills and able to work under pressure/liliKnowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods/liliKnowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations/liliWorking knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required/liliUnderstanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements/liliAbility to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift/liliMust have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements/li/ulh3Scope Data/h3ulliFrequent independent judgment and decision making/liliBackup driver/liliOperate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude/li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliRegularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk/liliSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus/liliBe able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs/liliExposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals/liliExposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle/liliUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required/li/ulpInterstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
