Location Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Community Hospital North (13531) Category & Job ID Category: Physical/Occupational Therapy Job ID: 90599-147 Status Status: PRN Job Summary The Physical Therapist functions as an interdisciplinary team member providing patient assessment, re‑assessment, direct care, and individualized care planning and implementation. Works within the entire facility and performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Provides physical therapy evaluations and treatment to medical/post‑surgical patients on the Med‑Surg and Rehab floor according to policy, procedure, and care standards. Completes documentation and charges in a thorough, concise, and timely manner as established by policy and procedure. Takes direction from others and follows through efficiently. Communicates well with patients, families, occupational/physical therapists, nurses, physicians and other team members. Sets priorities. Maintains knowledge of equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform duties outlined and continually demonstrates competency in job duties. Accountability Reports to: Therapy Manager, RN Director of ICU, ER and Specialty Services Supervises: PTAs, Students Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate Degree as a Physical Therapist State licensed or eligible for licensure required BLS required; if not currently trained, must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire Required Physical Demands Strength (Lift, Carry, Push, Pull): Medium (exerting 11 to 51 pounds of force frequently for patient treatments, 10‑20 pounds constantly to move objects or lifting/carrying 2‑10 pounds constantly) Standing/Walking: Constantly; activity exists two‑thirds or more of the time Twisting: Frequently; activity exists from one‑third to two‑thirds of the time Bending/Stooping: Constantly; activity exists two‑thirds or more of the time Sitting/Climbing: Occasionally; activity exists up to one‑third of the time Keyboard/Dexterity: Occasionally; activity exists up to one‑third of the time Talking: Must effectively communicate verbally Seeing: Yes Smelling: – Hearing: Yes Color Acuity: No Feeling: Yes Touching: Yes Environmental Conditions High exposure to hazardous risks including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, hot, cold, or wet surroundings, outdoor activities, radiation sources, fumes, electrical equipment and chemicals. Hazards will be minimized if universal safety procedures are followed. Must follow standard precautions.
