Tool & Die MakerThe role of Tool and Die Maker I is to support the building and maintaining of fixtures, gages, and multiple forms of tooling using validated effective practices.1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pmResponsibilitiesTool & Die Maker I Essential Job FunctionsMaintain and build reliable production ready tooling on timeDocument and build activities in required databasesSurface grind to required tolerancesTroubleshoot tooling issues and determines best solutionsWork closely with others to ensure best practices are used during the build and qualification of all toolingMonitor and assist in the refinement of all toolroom processesIdentify fixturing, gaging, and tooling needs for toolroom and production needsAdhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when requiredDevelop CAM programs from CAD generated modelsSet up and operate CNC and Manual Toolroom Equipment to produce high quality precise tooling components and other piece partsSetup and operate all toolroom measurement equipmentPerform maintenance on toolroom equipmentEnsure revision levels of paperwork and tooling components are currentSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsRead, understand, and follow work instructions and standard workPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serveEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyParticipate in required company meetingsMaintain an organized work area (5S)Participate in the Operational Excellence ProgramComplete all other work duties as assignedAbility to work in a manufacturing environmentQualificationsTool & Die Maker I Position Requirements:Technical degree or equivalent machine tool experience1 year of experience machining or stampingKnow the theory of cutting and forming in the stamping processGood troubleshooting skillsGood ability to conceptualize complex assembliesGood ability to identify different materials and their relationship to design (form, fit, and function)Strong math skills, including trigonometryMechanical AptitudeDexterity, hand, and eye coordinationAbility to use a microscopeAttention to detailAbility to read and comprehend blueprintsBasic GD&T experienceMicrosoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)Clear and effective verbal and written communication skillsOrganizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to prioritize and multitaskToolroom Machinist Desirable Criteria & QualificationsProficient in SolidWorksMedical Device manufacturingProgressive Tooling ExperienceBasic skills and knowledge of Lean Principles and toolroom process workflowPay RangeUSD $23.08 - USD $33.46 /Hr.Pay Range DetailsThis pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
