Responsibilities

• Provide PTA-directed therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist in a long-term care setting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Lead or assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, ROM, and strength programs.
• Document patient response and progress clearly and timely; communicate changes to the supervising PT.
• Support patient safety during therapy sessions, including patient positioning, device setup, and fall-prevention strategies.
• Maintain a clean, organized therapy area and comply with infection control and charting requirements.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire or eligibility for licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program (associate degree or equivalent).
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work in a long-term care setting and adapt to a travel assignment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; reliability in documentation and teamwork.
• Prior experience in physical therapy assistance, with LTC or skilled rehabilitation experience preferred.
