City Manager

Responsibilities Develop, implement, and communicate operating plans to improve fleet utilization mandating maintenance, repair, and reconditioning of fleet vehicles while overseeing in‑fleet and de‑fleet processes. Manage performance of team members against business plans by setting, communicating, monitoring, and updating KPI goals on a regular basis. Forecast, budget, and control key financial drivers such as S&W per day, warranty recoveries, cost per estimate, and cost per deletion. Coordinate automotive‑damage appraisals, repairs, documentation and ordering of parts, tools, and supplies. Maintain vendor relationships and workload assignment, ensuring established service levels and standard policies are followed. Oversee repair and maintenance of all buses at bussing locations. Partner with fleet owners, district/city managers, and external partners to prioritize workloads. Manage all areas of the employee lifecycle—including hiring, onboarding, training, recognition, and performance management—to enable a high‑performance culture. Minimum of five years of management experience in a related field (rental car, automotive shop, or service‑oriented field). Valid driver’s license. Ability to work flexible schedules, including early morning, nights, or weekends as required. Ability to lift 50lbs and oversee multiple work areas. Position requires regular on‑site presence and cannot be performed remotely. Annual starting salary is $65,000–$78,000, depending on location, skills, education, experience and other qualifications.
