CERT NURSING ASSISTANT - NORH CMR UNIT

Shift: Full time nights, 12 hour shifts x3, rotating weekends and holidays

Summary:

Provide direct and indirect patient care within any clinical area under the supervision of a licensed nurse.


Provide one-on-one observation of selected patients for the purpose of maintaining patient safety.

Other information:
The Nursing Assistant will be required to complete a checklist of skills. The unit director will keep this checklist. Responsibilities:
1Assist with nursing care of the patients.A.Assist with the plan of care for each patient.B.Assist with the maintenance of quality care.C.Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of the unit as whole as well as individual patient rooms.D.Is able to demonstrate competency in age specific criteria as applicable to job scope.2Assist in maintaining supply inventory.A.Inspects storage areas for adequate supplies and report deficiencies.B.Pick up, deliver and store supplies in appropriate place.3Participate in educational programs.A.Attend in-service programs as provided.B.Attend unit meetings.4Maintain satisfactory communications.A.Demonstrate clear and accurate lines of communications.B.Demonstrate listening and understanding with verbal and non-verbal responses.C.Demonstrate accuracy in verbal communication.D.
