Learn more about our benefits ( T5 Manufacturing Technician V - (T5) Key Responsibilities Utilizes work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components. Performs a wide variety of electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair. Identifies and corrects errors. Highly effective at providing standard training. Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and practices. Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment and materials properly, and actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries. Utilizes test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components. Enters data on progress, work expense and labor details. May perform computer programming, repair or software. Checks own work for conformance to specifications. Receives parts and performs audits to ensure parts are available to perform build, test and repair. Inspects parts for defects. Advanced troubleshooting capability and process improvement. Recognized as a resource for particular product(s) or platform(s). Highly proficient with assembly test processes and troubleshooting required to solve quality issues. Works closely with engineering on development of procedures and New Product Integration into the manufacturing line. Able to provide input on product manufacturing design. Provides training and support to lower level mfg. technicians and assemblers. May serve as Quality Lead and focal point for quality processes within the department tools to lead problem solving. May lead Kaizens or DMIAC for work center or unit. Able to assist with quality issues at a customer site and provide feedback to improve. Assist supervisor in alignment of resources to daily production needs. Other Requirements This is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, distinguishing between colors, working in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some indoor noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts. Additionally, because this position may involve working in a clean room, appropriate personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safe chemical aprons, and face shields may be required. Functional Knowledge Has comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems and concepts within own discipline. Business Expertise Has in-depth understanding of how related teams coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve shared and individual objectives. Leadership May act as a lead for the team, may coordinate the work of others beyond own area. May provide subject matter guidance to more junior team members. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Impact Has direct impact through responsibility for the quality of deliverables.
