Sr. Technical Program Manager - Storage, AWS Hardware

Salary: $148,700 - 201,200 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• At least 6 years of technical product or program management experience working directly with multiple engineering teams
• At least 6 years of experience leading hardware development programs for servers, racks, networking, or storage through design, validation, manufacturing, and fleet deployment
• Experience managing cross-functional programs, developing processes, and coordinating release schedules
• Preferred: Masters degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Preferred: At least 5 years coordinating complex server programs with ODM/JDM partners across multiple geographies, including design reviews, manufacturing readiness gates, and quality checkpoints
• Preferred: At least 5 years working with storage server platforms or NVMe/SSD infrastructure through NPI qualification phases such as EVT, DVT, and PVT
• Preferred: Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware reliability issues at fleet scale
• Preferred: Knowledge of the server hardware development lifecycle, including electrical and mechanical design, firmware, thermal and power validation, and manufacturing testing
• Preferred: Experience leading zero-touch automation or fleet health programs for large-scale infrastructure
• Preferred: Ability to communicate engineering trade-offs and technical risks to leadership in business terms

• Lead end-to-end delivery of storage servers across our global fleet, coordinating hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams and ODM partners
• Convert technical requirements into ODM evaluation criteria; develop scoring frameworks, coordinate technical reviews, prepare selection recommendations, and support the transition into NPI
• Facilitate internal requirements gathering and develop technical requirements documents covering server specifications, rack configurations, connectivity, power, and cooling
• Build program plans with critical-path analysis, risk tracking, and milestones; guide manufacturing, production, and operational readiness reviews through general availability
• Coordinate dependencies across firmware, thermal, mechanical, and silicon teams, and report program status, risks, and mitigations to leadership
• Lead manufacturing readiness and production-yield tracking from initial builds through volume ramp; investigate yield issues and ensure corrective actions are completed
• Monitor ODM delivery schedules, production-line throughput, and supply continuity
• Track fleet-level program measures, including annualized failure-rate targets, unsellable resolution progress, and component lifecycle risks
• Run feed-forward reviews that turn fleet failure trends, manufacturing yield data, and vetting escapes into requirements and test content for future programs
• Create and maintain dashboards, metrics, and review routines that support data-driven decisions and early risk detection
• Improve delivery processes by removing unnecessary dependencies, gates, and coordination overhead
• Surface and quantify technical risks to schedule and reliability, propose mitigations, and lead root cause investigations into fleet-wide hardware failures
