The Maintenance Technician II is a mid-level technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated systems, conveyors, and facility equipment. This role serves as a primary responder to equipment issues and supports preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives. Success requires reliability, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment .
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment (up to 480V)
- Maintain motors, VFDs, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshot automation systems (conveyors, sortation, ASRS, packaging equipment)
- Resolve jams, sensor faults, and minor electrical or pneumatic failures
- Perform preventive maintenance and system calibrations
- Read and interpret electrical schematics; perform basic PLC/HMI diagnostics
- Document work orders and maintenance activities in CMMS
- Identify equipment issues and support continuous improvement and RCA efforts
- Collaborate with team members, vendors, and support staff; assist junior technicians
Required Skills
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshootin
- Pneumatics and conveyor systems knowledge
- Basic PLC and controls understanding
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with automation, conveyors, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk throughout a shift
- Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
- Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
- Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
Available Shifts
- Wednesday - Saturday (Days): Start times range between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM
- Sunday - Wednesday (Nights): 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM
